Alpine Bible Camp lives by the philosophy of “challenge-by-choice.” Camp activities provide endless options for personal growth, with the goal that each camper will grow in each aspect of life by the end of the week. Campers are encouraged to push themselves but within a safe and supportive atmosphere.
The most important kind of growth that happens at Alpine Bible Camp is spiritual growth. Alpine is committed to the authority and necessity of the Bible as the only true guidebook for life. Two chapels a day and devotions in each cabin provide campers the opportunities to learn God’s Word and the option to choose a closer relationship to God.
Many other camp activities, such as adventures and cabin challenges, are carefully tailored to help campers discover spiritual truths through hands-on learning.
Social, emotional, and mental growth is accomplished through activities like camp-wide games and cabin initiatives. Each day, each cabin will work through a challenge or “initiative” requiring problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Highly trained counselors facilitate both the physical activity as well as a debrief to help campers recognize their strengths and weaknesses as a team and ways they can improve as teammates.
Physical growth is facilitated through the many activities of camp, from canoeing on the pond to swimming in the pool to playing games in the field. Alpine also offers an exceptional selection of High Adventure Activities through Alpine Adventures.
Campers can choose activities such as whitewater rafting on the New River (class I-V), rock rappelling in the New River Gorge, or wild caving in the Lewisburg, WV area.
