Since our first summer in 1965, Lakeview Ministries has provided youth and families with Christian experiences of Growth, Inspiration, and Recreation. What started as a single week of summer camp has since grown to be a year-round outdoor ministry at three sites—Camp Lakeview, Lakeview Villages, and Lakeview Springs! Regardless of their age or chosen program guests at Lakeview Ministries will encounter:
-Caring Christian Staff
-Ridiculously Awesome Activities
-Intentional Faith Building
At Camp Lakeview campers in grades 2-6 spend their week participating in activities like swimming, Bible study, slingshots, canoeing, horseback riding, creek stomping, ziplining, challenge courses, and crafts.
On the weekends, the TIny Tykes Program allows our youngest campers (k-3) to roast s’mores, go down the slip ‘n’ slide, and experience all the fun of camp with a parent, grandparent, or other significant adults!
Campers in middle school and high school have the opportunity to spend an adventurous week at Lakeview Villages (just across the road from Camp Lakeview). Whether it’s getting launched from the blob, completing a high ropes challenge, mountain biking through the woods, or participating in an in-depth Bible study, campers are sure to have a blast and be challenged to grow!
“This was a wonderful experience and stepping stone for my 11-year-old to bridge the gap from elementary school to middle school, becoming more responsible and maturing into her pre-teen years. Thank you Camp Lakeview Staff for an experience and memories my daughter will hold on to throughout the rest of life.”
“I think it really helped to foster some independence in a very loving and safe environment.”
“Our son has struggled with anxiety and depression. He is an amazing child but has sometimes gotten “lost” in his own head, with his own insecurities, and with not always fitting in. A few days after camp, he told me that he opened up to his counselors, talked to them about what scares him and that they prayed together. At that moment, he told me that he felt Jesus talking to him and he knew everything was going to be okay. He has learned to focus on Christ. My heart is so full watching him develop his faith.”
“Camp Lakeview has definitely become a staple to our summertime. At Camp Lakeview, I know my child is being looked after, cared about, shared the word and love of God, and having a great experience. This is will be a summertime requirement each year for many, many years to come.”
During the year, Lakeview Ministries provides a beautiful setting and wonderful facilities for hosting groups and retreats. The facilities offer many of the amenities of home while enhancing the camping experience with a wonderful rustic flair. The staff has experience in hosting a wide variety of different groups and retreats, including:
- Family Reunions
